Business Stationery
About a month ago, I decided that I wanted to revamp my business cards + add some stationery to my personal brand and styling business, Elizabeth Schneider Style. Because I don't really have a logo behind Sequins & Stripes and Elizabeth Schneider Style, just similar designs, I decided to do something memorable that made my business more personal and welcoming to my clients. I am constantly sending notes to past clients and future opportunities, so it was important to me that both my calling card and stationery matched. Enter Anna Bond and Rifle Paper Co.
Not only was this creative process super easy + fun, but I swear that the folks over there are the most humble and kind people I've ever worked with and don't know how crazy crazy good they are. So, if you are interested in designing something like this, you can get started here.
Also, if you are looking for styling services {big or small!}, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Furbish Studio + A Giveaway! {Closed}
I am going to assume that we all know about Furbish Studio. The Raleigh, NC based home store + design studio filled to the brim with colorful patterns, bold textures, golden details, ikat everything, bright textiles and the brainchild of Jamie Meares. If you don't, well then you've been living under a rock, but lucky for you Furbish just launched their amazinggg new site and now everything Furbish is available at your fingertips. I have dabbled in a few Furbish pieces in the past...
...but with the new site, you can now shop for custom furniture, wallpaper, bar carts, art work, and more, so I have some bigger dreams for my Furbish future...
Could you even imagine? I mean this store is full of so much goodness I don't even know where to begin. Actually yes I do, how about a giveaway? My sweet friends at Furbish have offered to giveaway one of my favorite staples for warmer days to come, these adorable anchor studs {which I would easily wear all day, everyday}.
Here is what you have to do:
Visit the new Furbish site, and leave a comment below telling me what you would love to add to your collection.
A winner will be chosen at random on Monday, March 5th at 8am EST. Good luck!
Tibi Layers
Remember this Tibi dress that the blogosphere loved so much? Well, thanks to Natalie, I was recently informed that this dress is actually a skirt and a cami. Although the pieces are lovely, I am disappointed that this dreamy "dress" isn't a dress. There is this dress in the same Arizona print, which is another adorable option.
Would you wear the cami + skirt combo?

Beauty Routine
A few of my sweet readers commented + emailed me yesterday in regards to my "glowing" skin. First of all, thank you! Second of all, I have to say that I don't think I had washed my face that morning so that glowing skin may have been oily skin. But either way, I really appreciate your compliments and decided to give you a peek into my daily beauty regiment.
Let me preface this post by saying that I have to thank the skin gods for blessing me with pretty good skin. I have never had to deal with acne {aside from a few blemishes here and there}, but I also have to say that I drink a lot of water. I have always been a water drinker, when I was younger I never drank juice, or soda, just some good ol' ice water. I probably drink 3 liters a day, and on days when I don't drink a lot of water, I can feel it in my skin. Is that weird?
I also have to say that I am somewhat disabled in the beauty department. I only wear the basics, I don't know how to wear eyeliner {any special techniques?}, and rarely wear eyeshadow. I like to stick to a pretty clean palette.
First, let's start with cleansing and moisturizing:
Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads: I use these every morning and every night. They burn, really bad, but they make my skin clean and dry and even. These get rid of any lingering residue and probably help to keep my skin extra clean.
Lumene Vitamin C+ Pure Radiance Day Cream: I love that this is over the counter but definitely feels like the most expensive cream in any department store. This has the perfect amount of moisture and a tiny tint of shimmer which is a nice base to applying my makeup. *I use this in the morning or after I shower.
Burt's Bees Radiance Serum: I don't know what this stuff does, but I think it has something to do with magic. If I use this religiously I can see a significant difference in the lines and the elasticity of my skin. *I put two drops on my face and neck before I go to bed.
Makeup:
Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer: This acts as my foundation and my concealer and is practically weightless. I love that it is sheer enough to not feel like you're wearing makeup, but tinted enough to conceal. I highly recommend!
BareMinerals Faux Tan Bronzing Powder: I don't use a ton of this, but it is nice to have an even tint of tan on your face to bring a little life into your skin after a long winter. I am a huge fan of the Bare Escentuals line because it is light weight, easy to apply, and is always even.
Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush: I never leave the house without a little blush on my cheeks. It is the perfect way to add depth to your face and define those feminine cheek bones! I typically use a deeper shade in the winter but I just purchased this blush and it is the perfect shade for warmer days to come. It really does wake up your face with it's tiny illuminating flecks.
Diorshow Mascara: The best, end of story.
BareMinerals Eyeshadow in Queen Phyllis: This is probably what I should thank for dewy skin. Sephora describes this eyeshadow as "soft sunlight." Here is my secret: I don't use this as eyeshadow, I use it as an illuminator. I put a soft sweep at the top of my cheek bones {right under my eyes} and down the center of my nose {which this may seem weird, but I remember sitting at a MAC counter in high school and one of the makeup artists gave me this tip for slimming your face?}. I do use this as eyeshadow when I'm feeling fancy, just not everyday.
Lancome L'ABSOLU Rouge: I love this lipstick. It is smooth, sheer, and feels like water when you put it on your lips. For someone who isn't always comfortable wearing a matte lipstick {which I think can be kind of harsh at times} this is a wonderful alternative for everyday lips.
Bare Escentuals Brushes: Soft and sturdy! I use the entire set.
So there you have it! Oh, and I also use this if I need a bit of under-eye concealer and I use these to remove my makeup.
Do you have any beauty secrets? I'd love to hear + learn some new tips!

Anchors Away

Club Monaco Anchor Sweater, J Brand Cropped Denim, J.Crew Matinee Trench, Repetto Ballet Flats, Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs Watch
Although this outfit is nothing to write home about, I thought I would give you glimpse of a typical daytime outfit - skinny jeans, cozy sweater, ballet flats, and a headband. It was 50 degrees yesterday so we ventured to the suburbs and played some virtual golf with my parents, it was lovely. How was your weekend? Who did you think was best dressed at the Oscars?
PS: Today, I am guest posting over at The Peak of Tres Chic sharing some Monday Inspiration AND I am over at Explore.Dream.Discover sharing some chic travel wear while Liz jets off to Spain {jealous!}. Pop over and check out these fabulous blogs!

Don't be like the rest of them, darling.
A quote to help you put your best foot forward into the weekend, because sometimes we all need a little reminder.
There is sloshy snow here in Chicago, which makes me want to bunker down and see a few movies that I have yet to see before the Oscars on Sunday! Will you be watching?
And some happy news...thanks to my lovely reader Janel, we have found the link to the blue bathing suit below! Ready, set, go because that beauty is going to sell out fast. Thank you, Janel!
Have a lovely weekend! xo

Milly for Sperry Topsider
Have you seen the recent collaboration of Milly for Sperry Top-Sider? Pretty fab, huh? I personally kind of love the sneakers, which shoe would you choose?
Shop the entire collection here.
Take Me Away
Three weeks and counting until I'm basking in the sun.
Does anyone have any idea who makes this bathing suit? I need it. I also need to dye my hair blonde because this girl looks so sunny + happy. I also need new sunglasses. Ok, time to get shopping!
Get The Look: Neon Maxi Skirt
Victoria Beckham Jersey + Mesh T-Shirt // Mason by Michelle Mason Maxi Skirt // Kendra Scott Morgan Stud Earring in Calcedony // Mar Y Sol Natural Opal Clutch // ASOS Carvela Kook Snake Print Sandals
I am introducing a fun new feature that will take runway looks, or some of my current style inspiration, and transform them into outfits that can easily be introduced to our own wardrobes {plus a few added details!}. Our first "Get the Look" is inspired by Christian Soriano's Spring 2012 RTW Collection which was oozing with neon goodness paired with soft neutrals. The above image happens to be one of my favorite looks from his collection and it is completely necessary that I add a pleated maxi skirt to my closet for warmer days ahead.

Statement on a Budget
With NYFW street style images popping up all over the internet and London Fashion Week photos trickling in, I have been on the hunt for a few pieces that make a statement but can easily be mixed in with my wardrobe. There is at least one detail in each of the above images that catches my eye so I think it is necessary to channel these stylish ladies and invest in some of the below pieces {which all happen to be under $100, you're welcome}...
ASOS Leather Loafer with Neon Flash // H&M Leather Peplum Top // H&M Cropped Floral Pants // Mango Tortoise Sunglasses // Bauble Bar Studded Cuff Bracelet // Bauble Bar Cord + Chain Bracelet // H&M Gold Button Blazer // ASOS Triangle Grid Earrings // Topshop Regatta Necklace // H&M Wedges // ASOS Patchwork Watch // Fiorelli Havana Satchel
Happy Scarves
1 Butterflies Scarf 2 Cotton Birds Print 3 Lace Print 4 Coloured Print 5 Animal Print 6 Polka Dot Silk Print 7 Geometric Silk Print 8 Flower Print 9 Coloured Linen Print
How fun are these scarves from Mango? Actually, I am kind of obsessed with all of their new arrivals for Spring, but I think scarves 4 and 9 are definitely finding a new home in my closet.
Which one would you choose?
Leopard Pants
Tibi pants, J.Crew silk/lace top {old}, J.Crew Duffle coat {old}, J.Crew pumps, Nashelle name necklace, Kate Spade ring {old}, J.Mclaughlin scarf, Tory Burch Amanda Clutch
Well, it is bitterly cold in Chicago, hence the attractive backdrop for these photos, but this neutral leopard print paired with patent poppy red pumps seemed to warm me up. A lovely combo if I do say so myself.
Sunday Inspiration
Note to self: wear a monochromatic outfit with a bright pair of pumps.
A couple of images to inspire your week ahead. xo

Oh, and a little preview of what's to come on Monday...
Have a wonderful weekend! xo
DVF Spring 2012
I remember seeing photos from DVF's Spring 2012 presentation last September and my jaw dropped. I mean, the balance of each outfit is perfectly styled and I love DVF's attention to detail when it comes to pattern, texture, and fabric. She rocks.
PS: Eileen from A Creative Day won my styling consultation giveaway a few weeks back and just did a review on her blog! If you're looking to revamp your wardrobe or spruce up your personal style, please don't hesitate to email me!
