The End of Paris + Amsterdam

I was sad to say goodbye to beautiful Paris. I was in awh of the Eiffel Tower {even though it is much better at night} and the leaves were just changing colors which made for a lovely backdrop. I was blown away by the city's stunning architecture and amazing designers {this being my favorite} + shops, however, my bank account was happy to see me leave. Next, stop...Amsterdam!

Our taxi driver in Amsterdam told us that the people there live by the idea of "life is to enjoy." I would have to agree with his statement. I have never seen a place so different from America. I will say that the people there are happy campers, there are thousands + thousands of bikes {who have more authority than pedestrians}, more canals than Vienna, and the cutest little streets, bridges, and buildings. It was a fun place to explore.

Tomorrow I come home. Can you believe it? This trip has been an absolute whirlwind and although I am so excited to get back to reality, my feelings are very bittersweet. It has been such an adventure and I feel so fortunate to be given this opportunity to explore the world with my sister.

So, back to regular scheduled programming soon! I've missed you guys.

  8. Your pics of the architecture are stunning! The one of the shoes reminded me of Sex and the City when Carrie says "Amsterdam..land of the wooden shoes." :-)

  13. What a fantastic trip this has been! I haven't yet visited Amsterdam but I love the idea of "living a life enjoyed." We Americans can be both workaholics and incredibly entitled. Not a great balance!
